As an engineer, I have witnessed personally how these sectors can direct the growth of our societies and provide a more comfortable life. Engineers are at the forefront of this transformation, solving problems and improving our quality of life through breakthroughs and advancements in various fields, such as renewable energy, mechanical engineering, and software engineering.

In one of the courses, I took, civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering were identified as the four types of engineering fields to study.

With the knowledge I’ve acquired from studies and work, I have come to realize that technology is the application of scientific knowledge in coming up with gadgets or processes to do the things that people engage in. 

I have watched a world-changing through the smart use of technology that is affecting various areas like lighting, transportation, and even farming and manufacturing. In the field that I belong to, I have come to understand that engineering, particularly biomedical engineering, is actually the improvement of knowledge as far as technology is concerned. 

Engineers bring life-saving innovations, such as artificial organs, prosthetics, and medical equipment that save lives and meet safety standards. Moreover, engineers use their expertise to tackle issues like clean water and environmental engineering, addressing challenges such as pollution, water supplies, and energy conservation.

Throughout my career, I have seen the use of technology in entertainment, business, and education, whereby I am forced to admit that innovation is of vital importance in these sectors.
